Matt.26
AND it came about that when Jesus had finished all these words he said to his disciples.
2 You know after two days that the Passover is coming and the son of man is to be delivered up for crucifixion.
3 then the chief of the priests and the elders were gathered together in the court of the high priest named Caiaphas.
4 and they plotted together to seize Jesus by stealth to kill him.
5 But they were saying not the festival lest a riot occurs among the people

Death plot and Anointing
NOW the Passover and Unleavened bread was two days off and the chief priest and the scribes were seeking how to seize Him by stealth and kill him
2 for they were saying not during the festival lest there will be a riot of the people.
3 and while he was in Bethany at the home of Simon the leper and reclining at the table there came a woman with an alabaster vial of very costly perfume of pure nard and she poured the vial over his head.
4 But some were saying why has this perfume been wasted?
5 for this perfume might have been sold for over 300 denarii and the money given to the poor they were scolding her.

Preparing for the Passover
NOW the Feast of Unleavened Bread which is called the Passover was approaching.
2 and the chief priests and the scribes were seeking how they might put him to death for they were afraid of the people.
3 And Satan entered into the Judas who was called Iscariot belonging to the number of the twelve.
4 And he went and discussed with the chief priests and officers how he might betray him to them
5 and they were glad and agreed to give him money.
